How do I enter?

Choose how many tickets you want, answer our skill-based question, buy your tickets, and you’re in with a chance of winning a luxury timepiece. It’s that simple.

What can I win?

Each competition offers the chance to win a luxury watch, typically valued well above €10,000. The specific make and model are always listed on the product page for each draw.

When is the next draw?

Check the homepage to see the date and time of the next live draw.

How do you choose the winner?

Every entry that answered the skill-based question correctly is entered into the draw. The final winner is then selected randomly using a certified third-party random number generator (Randomdraws).

How many winners are there?

Each competition has one main prize winner. Occasionally, runner-up prizes may be offered and will be stated clearly in the competition details.

How will I know if I’ve won?

We notify all winners directly by email. Winners may also be announced on our homepage and social media channels.

What if you don’t sell enough tickets?

If not enough tickets are sold before the scheduled draw, the entry period may be extended up to three times.

Is this a lottery / social lottery?

No. Amalthea is not a lottery and does not fall under the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag (German Gambling Treaty). Our competitions are skill-based: only correct answers to the entry question qualify for the draw.

Importantly:

  • Paying for more tickets only increases the number of entries a participant has, but does not change the odds compared to others with the same number of correct entries.

  • Because outcome depends on skill and not pure chance, our model is legally classified as a Wettbewerb mit Wissenselement (skill-based competition) and not a lottery.

What is a skill-based game?

A skill-based game requires participants to answer a knowledge-based question correctly in order to qualify for the draw. This ensures our competition is based on ability, not chance.

Who can enter?

Entrants must be over 18 years of age and resident in eligible countries.

Who’s behind Amalthea?

Our mission is to make rare timepieces more accessible through a transparent, skill-based competition system.

How many tickets are allocated per competition?

The total ticket allocation varies depending on the value of the prize. Ticket limits are clearly displayed for each competition before launch.

How many tickets can I buy?

There is a maximum ticket amount per competition. This maximum is shown in the product description for each watch raffle. Regardless of purchase quantity, chance remains the same.

How much does a ticket cost?

Ticket prices are set per competition, depending on the prize value. Most ticket prices are between €5 and €100.

How are prizes shipped?

Winners receive their watch via insured international courier. For high-value watches (often €10,000–€60,000), we use specialist insured shipping with full tracking and signature on delivery. Winners in Germany, if agreed upon, will take delivery from the Amalthea Team themselves. 

Do winners pay customs or import fees?

No. All customs duties and taxes are fully covered by Amalthea — winners never face hidden costs.

Can I enter from outside Germany?

Yes. Amalthea is registered in Germany but our competitions are open across the EU. Watches are shipped internationally with full insurance.

Why is Amalthea legal?

Amalthea operates within German and EU law because:

  • Entry is based on answering a knowledge/skill question correctly.

  • More money spent does not guarantee a higher probability of winning against another correct entrant.

  • The structure is therefore not gambling (Glücksspiel) under the Glücksspielstaatsvertrag.

  • Our legal model is the same skill-based exemption used by many established competition providers across Europe.
